Purpose:
To
increase interest and knowledge in ceramics for fun and profit. The
exhibit, displaying many types and phases of ceramics is open to the
public. Amateur ceramists are invited to present articles for
Competition
-
Judging:
All
work will be judged by qualified judges on the quality of design,
technique, originality and workmanship according to the rules of the
National Ceramic Association

RULES AND
REGULATIONS |
- No
item will be accepted unless it was made by the person entering such
items without help from a teacher. A teacher may suggest
- Name
of entrants must be visible to the judges. Tape to cover name is
acceptable. All bottoms of pieces must be exposed
- Each
person must have a list of pieces ready that are to be displayed and
the classification under which they are entered
- All
liability and responsibility for the security or breakage of the
exhibitor’s entry is to be assumed by the exhibitor. Utmost caution
will be taken and a guard will be on hand at all times
- No
item will be judged if it has ever won honors in other divisions
- Items
to be hung must have hangers
- All
pottery will be entered with ART instead of Ceramics

Entries will be divided into three sections

SECTION - 1 - YOUTH
(19
years and younger)

SECTION - 2 - ADULT HOBBYIST
-
SECTION - 3 - SENIOR CITIZEN
-
HOBBYIST - The hobbyist section applies to those who work in
ceramics as a hobby, who do not have a letterhead or sign, do not
teach or work in ceramics as a livelihood, or have not previously
taught ceramics
