  • This department is open to youth and adults from Sumter, Lee, Clarendon, and Kershaw Counties only
  • Entries must be made with the Superintendent of the Poultry Department
  • Poultry and other fowl or animals in this department must be of good health, free of lice and disease.  The Superintendent reserves the right to refuse any entry or remove from the barn, any entry showing symptoms of disease.
  • Exhibitors must meet regulations to have all birds (Chickens, Ducks, Geese, pheasants, Guineas, Peacocks, ect.) blood tested prior to entry.  Poultry will be tested on entry
  • NOTE - blood tests will be given
    • Saturday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Sunday, 12:00 NOON - 4:00 PM
  • All poultry must be dusted with 7 dust PRIOR to caging
  • No entry will be accepted after 4:00 PM on Sunday.  The Fair Association will not be responsible for loss by fire, theft, ect., but will work with the Superintendent and exhibitors to prevent it
  • All entries will be properly fed and watered during the week.  Passes to tend to animals will not be issued to owners of entries in the Poultry Department
  • Premiums and awards will be given at the judge's discretion

All entries must be removed from the Barn between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Sunday
