Baby Animals Exhibit Rules

Baby Animal Exhibits are included for our younger citizens (boys & girls, 2-8 years) the following rules and regulations will apply:
  • Call Superintendent for approval of exhibit PRIOR to August 31st
  • Exhibitors must meet regulations to have all birds (Chickens, Ducks, Geese, pheasants, Guineas, Peacocks, ect.) blood tested prior to entry.  Poultry will be tested on entry.
  • NOTE - blood tests will be given:
    • Saturday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Sunday, 12:00 NOON - 4:00 PM
  • Vaccinations and Health Certificates up-to-date and in order, approved by a veterinarian and on file with the State Livestock Department as required for Swine, Dairy, and Beef exhibited and for small animals
  • Only a limited number of entries will be accepted due to space and holding pens.  Priority will be given to one each per species.
  • All cats and dogs must have a veterinary health certificate within 30 days prior to opening of the fair.
  • Swine and Goats must have proper tests (brucellosis and Pseudo Rabies) within 30 days prior to the opening of the Fair.
  • The Owner of the exhibit will feed and care for his animals and keep the exhibit clean.  If exhibit is not taken care of properly (cleaned daily) exhibitor will forfeit premiums.
  • Entries must be in place on Monday and remain through Saturday.
  • Each exhibit approved and entered will receive a $10 Premium.  Only one entry per class will be accepted.
  • Exhibits will be housed in the Poultry Barn (smaller animals).
  • The Livestock Superintendent will inspect and accept entries on a first- basis until classes are filled.
  • All poultry must be dusted with 7 dust PRIOR to caging.
  • No Billy Goats over 6 months old will be accepted
  • No entries will be accepted after 4:00 PM on Sunday
 

All entries must be removed from the Barn between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Sunday.
